Swedish sticky chocolate cake 0
It is chewy and soft with a crispy surface, our beloved sticky chocolate cake. And the flavor will be rich of finest chocolate. The sticky chocolate cake, kladdkaka, is so popular that it has got ist very own day on the 7th of November. And in Stockholm there is a café called ”Kladdkakan”, situated in Old Town, Gamla Stan.
- 200g dark chocolate
- 200g butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 dl sugar
- 2 ½ dl flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Serve with:
- whipped cream
It’s nice to flavour the cream with whisky or rhum.
1 Preheat oven to 225 °C. (455° F) Grease a cake pan. Melt the chocolate. Beat eggs and sugar fluffy. Mix flour, salt and baking powder thoroughly.
2 Carefully fold in the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, so that the batter becomes smooth.
3 Pour batter into a baking pan and bake in middle of oven for about 15 minutes. The cake will not stop completely, it will be a bit sticky in the middle. Leave the cake in the pan until it has cooled completely.
4 Cut into pieces and serve with cream.
